- I've got a little confession to make. I used to be a television weather presenter. I used to stand in front of a bit of green like this and with a bit of TV magic, a map would appear behind me and I'd do my best to be, you know, non-committal. That's not my confession. My confession is, as a result, I've never been very good with teleprompters, which is sort of industry standard when it comes to corporate video. Now a teleprompter's a very clever way of playing your script and reflecting it off a bit of glass so you can see your script while you're looking into the camera. So it means you don't have to memorize a script. Brilliant! Brilliant for corporate video. Brilliant for news presenters too, 'cause the news is changing all the time. Not brilliant for weather presenters, because I need to get involved with that map to be non-committal. Non-committal down there, and I can't keep looking back into the camera…
