How to lead effective virtual project meetings

- All projects involve meetings, so what do we do differently for virtual meetings? Well, it goes without saying, but I'm going to say it anyway. Have an agenda, distribute it beforehand, and have someone take notes for you. Now let's talk about basic virtual meeting etiquette, and then we'll look at meetings that you can use for virtual teams that are different from those you used in person. First, join the meeting 10 minutes early and invite people to come early and hang out. At the start of the meeting, check in by asking everyone to use three words that describe how they're doing. Ideally, this can go in a chat box or you can just ask people to state their three words. This starts the meeting with a personal touch without using a lot of time. With virtual meetings, you have to wait longer for responses because people need time to process and there can be a lag due to the communication technology you're using.…
