How to separate yourself from the emotions of change

- In my work with C-suite executives and business professionals leading complex change, often stepping outside emotion is the toughest part when striving to lead effectively. I would like to share a few of the strategies I've taught to leaders all over the world to do this, but before I do, allow me a moment to make a point of distinction. It is important to understand that though critical to step outside our emotions, we should never diminish the value of emotion itself. Emotion, when thought of and leveraged as a tool, can serve us in our journey to become more effective and compassionate leaders. There are three strategies you can employ to step outside the heat of a moment, to open the door to clarity, enabling you to use the energy of that emotion to serve.
