- Have you ever heard the phrase, "Putting the human back into human resources?" This is the rallying cry to organizations to infuse a sense of humanity and personability into the workplace. The hiring and firing functions of HR has made many HR professionals focus on the business needs to move humans in, around and out of organizations. It's become purely transactional and has lost the human part of human resources. So in this lesson, I want you to consider moving away from organization centered design and towards human centered design. One that focuses on the employee experience and brings humanity back into work culture. First, you need to know the difference. Most traditional HR programs are organization centered. Organization centered design is thinking first and foremost about how everything serves the organization. The processes, the programs, the deliverables.
