Identify potential trouble spots in advance

- First begin by identifying potential trouble spots in advance. If you're going to be speaking from prepared notes, take time to flesh out your ideas using exactly the words that best describe your thought or intention. (upbeat music) Don't avoid words that you feel may trip you up. Include them, and then when you are done fleshing out your thoughts, create a separate list of all of the words in your presentation that may potentially pose a problem for you. Once you have this separate list, take time, go through the list slowly, and say each of the words on this list out loud no less than 10 times. I know this sounds like a lot, but it is a good investment. This way of preparing will help the words feel less unfamiliar in your mouth, and provide you with a sense of ease when you come up upon them during your presentation.
