- Millennials now represent over 50% of the workforce. And by 2025, that number will be 75%. Your ability to identify, communicate with, and successfully recruit both millennials and gen-Z is critical to your success. If you want to attract millennial and gen-Z tech savvy talent, you need to meet them on the platforms and in the digital spaces where they spend their time. A great example of a high-tech approach to attracting millennial and gen-Z was when McDonald's in Canada used Snapchat to launch Snaplications, which was the first one day virtual hiring event. It allowed job seekers to instantly apply for jobs at McDonald's directly through the Snapchat app. Snaplications was a very effective hiring event.
