Identifying your best opportunities
- A leader sets the tone and direction. So when you're making a proactive effort to lead yourself, it's your responsibility to set the tone you want to create for your work, and identify what direction you should be going in. To jumpstart your self-leadership strategy, start by identifying your best opportunities. Answer these three questions. First, what does your boss or your organization need? Think about the objectives of your department and the company you work for; is the focus innovation, customer retention, or internal growth and what can you do in your role to contribute?
