- Last year I got a call from a friend who had started her management career at one of my restaurants. She'd been running her own place for a couple of years and was struggling to integrate effective coaching into her team's management. She was great at assessing her team and working with them to establish goals but she found too often when they had their next session, they had not accomplished many of the goals they discussed.
