- What we're talking about is introducing the principles of agility into your team in order to meet with the demands of a volatile, constantly changing marketplace. It really boils down to some simple ideas and all of these ideas close what we were calling operational distance. Remember, strategic distance is alignment. Operational distance is the cadence of getting stuff done. The way to start bringing agile into your team is really simple. Number one, get clear outcomes negotiation with your team members. Don't ask yourself what work are people getting done? Ask what outcomes we're achieving. In this week, what are we trying to achieve? What are the outcomes? As a result, it doesn't matter whether somebody used a yoga mat at two o'clock in the afternoon or that they took their child on a, on a walk or to school.
