Inspire others by being inspired
- Productive leaders inspire others to become leaders themselves. By inspire, I mean that feeling someone has inside to do more than what they did before, to become more than what they were before. I think of inspiration as water in a well. In order to offer this water of inspiration to others, you must also continually fill your own well. That way, you have a reserve to pull from. I've found three steps to filling this personal well of inspiration. You define what matters to you, you learn each day, and you do something about what you learn. When I say define, I mean taking time to write down your values and the vision you have for your life. Make some choices about who you want to be and where you want to go.
