- Interviewing is the foundation of the entire recruiting process and can make or break your ability to successfully present the best talent who end up being hired. Throughout your interview, it's critical to address what is most important to each candidate that you interview. First, you need to develop rapport and trust. During your initial interview, candidates are guarded because most candidates have had a past experience working with a recruiter and they don't know what to expect from you.
