- Are you mainly working from home on a project team where people are dispersed in different locations, countries, and time zones? People are needing to work remotely on virtual teams more than ever before. I'd estimate somewhere between 60 and 80% of knowledge workers are part of at least one virtual team, and that number is only going to increase. Remote project management has all the requirements of regular project management, but there are additional considerations for working successfully with a virtual team. I'm Cyndi Snyder Dionisio, and I've been leading remote projects for over 20 years with global teams. I'm going to share with you what I've learned about engaging virtual team members and stakeholders, communicating effectively on remote projects, and overcoming challenges with managing remote projects.
