- You don't need to be an economist to find value in economic data and reports. In fact, business leaders are expected to do this all the time. After all, the economy dominates the world in which your business exists, and you can't ignore that. The good news is that there are a lot of resources available for the different topics that I've laid out in this course, and if you're familiar and conversant in the 14 topics we've covered in this course, you're going to be on a good path forward to be seen as a leader who understands how the economy is important for business. To keep track of the most important economic data for business leaders, I recommend a few places to look like Bloomberg News and The Wall Street Journal. And of course, the actual sources of the data we've discussed, including the Fed, the IMF, and The World Bank are sometimes the best places to find data.
