- So you're building the next big company, and now you'll need venture capital to build and scale. It's a really exciting time. So, you know exactly what you're going to raise, right? Okay, maybe not quite yet. When you're confident about the amount of money you're planning to raise, it's an indicator that you can be clear and concise with your business. And it also shows that talking about financials won't make you queasy down the line. So be decisive, know how much you're raising, and why. This video is not designed to teach small business finance. Instead, I'm going to give you simple tools to be able to speak to the how and why of what you're raising. You probably have a spreadsheet that outlines how you plan to use the funds.
