- Most people would rather be unhappy than uncertain. In fact, 60% of employees said they'd rather know that a work predicament ends badly for them than not know how that predicament will turn out. We hate uncertainty because it's filled with things we don't know which is uncomfortable. But adapting to sudden change, especially for leaders, requires being okay with the unknown while committing to fostering an environment of constant learning along the way, in the right way. On the first step, you decide what you need to know versus rushing to know everything right now, which is an understandable temptation in the face of of sudden change. Don't get me wrong.
