- According to Dale Carnegie, "A person's name is to that person, "the sweetest, most important sound in any language." Think about it. How does it feel when someone you don't know that well calls you by name? How does it feel when someone uses your name in conversation? But on the flip side, it can be annoying when people mispronounce, misspell, or don't remember your name. Calling people by their name sets a tone that facilitates open communication and collaboration. But most of us have trouble remembering names with people we don't frequently interact with. So, you'll want to start sessions with quick introductions or name games, to help your group break the ice and learn each other's names. Here are three quick exercises you can try.
