- If you want to be taken seriously and look professional, you need to consider how you'll come across to the attendees. If you were to look disheveled and mumble all the way through a face-to-face workshop, you probably wouldn't get the best results from the session. So it goes without saying, although I do seem to be saying it anyway, that you should look and dress the part for facilitating a workshop. Do your hair if you're lucky enough to have any. Have a shave, unless you like your beard. Put on clothes that make you look as if you mean business. And not necessarily business clothes, just not that scrappy old T-shirt you use for DIY. Now for the technology side. The most important thing is to make sure you've got a good internet connection. You need to consider both your upload and your download speeds.
