Love those you lead
- There are many traits that a productive leader can possess. In my opinion, there's one trait that matters more than everything else, love. There are many definitions for love. When I use this word in this course, I'm referring to the unselfish concern for the good of another. If your goal as a productive leader is to develop leadership in others, you must unselfishly desire to see others succeed. You must love those you lead. When people feel your unselfish genuine concern, they're more likely to trust you and be more open to your counsel. Consider for a moment, when was the last time that a leader in your life showed you unselfish love? As a young man around the age of 17, I was in a time of intense turmoil.
