- At this point, we have learned a bit about informational interviews, connecting with people, maintaining relationships, and all that good stuff. But now what do we do with all of that information? And the answer is become a mentor. Let's look into how I did it. A friend of mine, her name is Crystal, she is about three years younger than me, and she is entering her upperclassman years of high school, and I have been able to help her with scholarships. I've been able to help her with advice on when to start her college applications, and also simply just what classes to take now that she is an upperclassman. And it's been really nice because not only have I felt good because I've been able to give this advice, but I've also been able to reflect over the information that I have received over time and see how it has worked in my life, and see how it has helped me along my own personal journey.
