- When we lead global teams cultural diversity can be a challenge. But it's also one of the most stimulating and enjoyable aspects of the role. Enabling us to learn new ways of doing things and experience different patterns of thought that can lead to more creative solutions. There are many books and websites that will give you information about cultural differences, facts and do's and don'ts it's definitely worth doing this research to prepare but it's also important to what mindset we bring to experiencing cultural differences. Here are a few tips on how to approach cultural differences positively. First, recognize that anything you notice about another culture is because it's different from your own. If you think another culture is very emotionally expressive it just means you come from a more neutral culture. Any observation you make about another culture is 50% about them and 50% about you.
