- Have you ever watched a game where the team members aren't working together? You can have a field full of all star athletes, but if the coach doesn't understand how their skills can be combined to reach a common goal, they won't win the game. That's why you need to create a map where you can see everyone's strengths at a glance. Like a coach, you'll see how everyone's unique abilities fit together to create a win for the whole team. Let's use the exercise file to create a map that will serve as your playbook for managing your team using strengths. Start by identifying common strengths of people on your team. On my team, several people are great at coming up with ideas and then we have a few others who are natural project managers. They're all highly collaborative and great producers.
