- One of my favorite consulting projects was working with the board of a membership organization, so a group of about 25 to 30. They reached out to me because they were struggling with feeling like they weren't accomplishing everything they were setting out to accomplish. My initial assessment identified a couple of things. One, they were setting themselves up with a ton of things to do, especially considering that all of these people had full-time jobs besides this organization. Two, after an IDI assessment, I identified that in the group, there were quite a few motivators, a ton of relaters, and a few processors, and not a single producer. So there were a bunch of people coming up with great ideas, a bunch of people saying, yeah, let's do it, and a few people really going into the details of everything that needed to be done, but nobody to say, wait a minute, how are we going to get all this done?
