- Humans learn best through blended learning solutions. Let's take you, for example. Now, you're learning how to create quality training in an online course format. After you complete the course, you'll probably talk to colleagues about it, which is a form of social learning. You'll teach them what you learned in the course, they'll help you process what information was the most valuable to you. As you continue to learn more about the topic, you'll read blog posts and books, you'll download resources, you'll apply what you learned from the course on an actual project, which is always where you learn the most. In the instructional design world, we call what you just went through, a blended learning strategy, which is accessing and processing information in different formats. Not so long ago, we tended to stress a single format for a particular type of training, new-hire classes that were 100% instructor-led, software courses that were all online learning.
