- [Instructor] Now we are going to discuss the six major components of a direct mail letter. Now consider referencing the provided training resource called Six Must-Have Features For Every Direct Mail Letter. Starting with the headline. Now, this is the most important part of your correspondence and there's really four ways to grab people's attention. The first way is with a question format. So for example, you might say something like, "Need a creative way to avoid foreclosure?" Next, the second way is a bold statement. "Your property sold in 10 days guaranteed." The third way is to educate. For example, "How to sell your house in 27 days or less." And then the fourth way is using a number. "I can buy your house cash and close in seven days."
