- Ultimately, companies typically, they don't want you to leave, right? It's expensive to recruit. Recruiters are expensive. It takes time, energy, and effort. And frankly, your boss would be rather working towards their goals than having to recruit for you. They have to throw a farewell party for you. They have to interview people. They have to hire someone who doesn't work out. They have to fire them. So it takes time, right? Plus all the institutional knowledge that walks out the door when you lose someone.
