- Did you know on average it takes 18 months for a large organization to implement OKR successfully? Every company implements OKRs in a unique way. Contrary to what you might hear or read, OKRs are not one-size-fits-all. Depending on where your company is in size and development, your OKR strategy will look really different. As you begin to implement OKRs in your organization it'll be valuable for you to master some best practices and use them to create a custom implementation plan. First, start small. Plan to roll out different levels or groups of OKRs in phases, and start with a small pilot. For example, you could start with corporate OKRs or maybe engineering OKRs. You can publish them and try the process for a few quarters, and then add additional sets of OKRs throughout the organization. Successful organizations pilot OKRs first to build champions.
