Ordering processing before lean
(dramatic music) - So talk about before lean. - Yeah. - What did this process look like? - Yes, so before lean, it was one computer, one desk. We sat and everything was done in the one station. We had 10 orders come in by email, we would've printed them all at one time. Then, we would've issued serial numbers to those 10. Then, we would've had to put them all on to sage, at one, on to our system at one time. And then, had to print them all out, do all this, we put everything bulked in, everything into one station instead of doing one at the time. - Yeah. - So not only the factory used to get 10 orders, so they'd have none maybe for an hour and then, they were sort of waiting the boat. And then, they got 10 orders, and they were in a rush. So now, it's just more gradually. It reduces the burden to everyone. To me, it reduces the burden for me and the factory.
