- We've established what sales burnout is and why it's such an issue that plagues our profession. But how can we get back out of this rut we now find ourselves in? Well, first thing's first. We need to address the issue. We need to come to terms with the fact that we're either burning out or we've burnt out entirely. We need to recognize the signs, some of which we mentioned earlier in this section. You're exhausted, you're unmotivated, you're unhappy, you're less focused, you're feeling overwhelmed by tasks, big or small. Step one is admitting it to ourselves, but step two is admitting it to those around us. Friends, family, and colleagues can help, but we should start with our manager, supervisor, or whoever we report to.
