- One of the most important steps in your recruiting process is the intake session with the hiring manager. You interact with multiple hiring managers who have different personalities and expectations. They must each feel you will make their requisition a top priority and have confidence in your ability to present them with the best talent. These are a few best practices you should follow during the intake process. Your intake sessions should be scheduled at a specific time where there will be no interruptions. Provide your hiring manager with written lists of expectations, which outline your process and what you need from them to successfully provide them with the best talent.
