Patterns and old stories
- I bet you have at least one friend who calls you up from time to time and tells you some heartbreaking story about some terrible thing that's happened to them recently. And then your friends says, "Why does this always happen to me?" And you're thinking, "Because you set it up that way. "Because you always behave in a certain way "so you always get that result. "Maybe you could date a different kind of person "or act in a different way, hmm." Well, here's the hard news. You're like that too. We all have patterns and old stories that run our lives. Ways in which we interact with people. Ways in which we behave that get us a certain result. And sometimes you'll go into a new situation and you will promise yourself that this time it's going to be different, but it very rarely is.
