- We learned in the last chapter that one of the goals of addressing microaggressions is how to recognize them in real time. Because microaggressions typically happen quickly, so fast that you're often left wondering, did that really happen? Or did they really say that? And what generally follows this is reflection, your own and that of the other's intention. The best responses are in the moment, not allowing time to pass, but of course, after a pause to collect yourself.
