- Hey, you. I appreciate you. You are awesome. Generic feedback like this may sound okay. But it's not as effective as it could be. To make your performance feedback more powerful, you should make it personal. And in order to help you be more personal with your feedback, there are a few different things that you should do. First, you should get to know the person better. So be intentional to build those relationships to give quality, personal feedback. Seek to understand the personality of the individual so that you can best cater the context, delivery, and method of feedback so that it will be best received. You should then cater your feedback to the personality of the individual. Some team members may want feedback in the form of an email or text. Others prefer a conversation.
