- When you're preparing for an audit, this means preparing for the auditor and audit team to show up to your offices or facilities and there are a number of different things you need to do to make sure that goes smoothly. This includes preparing physical and digital documents you'll need to share, allocating office space where the audit team can work and analyze the documentation and you might need to have badges made, conduct background checks or screenings and complete safety training or issue PPE. I've personally worked at companies on projects where I had to do safety training as well as undergo background checks. These are both common depending on the industry you're working with. For companies that are extremely industrial and have very strict safety requirements, think of oil and gas companies, you're not likely to be allowed on site without undergoing some kind of safety training first.
