- You may be familiar with this scenario. It's 9:30 in the office and people are just easing in to work with a half-drunk coffee at the side of their keyboard, when someone walks through the office shouting, brainstorm, brainstorm, is anyone free? It'll be in the boardroom in 10 minutes, I've got biscuits. People look at what's on their screen. They look over their shoulder at the boardroom and they look back at their screens and decide that a handful of free biscuits and some post-it note action will be a far more enjoyable way of spending the next hour. When the session starts the workshop leader tells people the problem they want ideas for and then stands in front of a flip chart waiting for ideas. What an utter waste of time.
