(upbeat music) - Hi there and welcome back. In this module, we're going to talk about an extremely important skill set that relates to the entire Hoshin planning process, namely problem solving. Well, specifically, by the end of this module, you'll understand how the PDCA and practical problem solving methods apply to every aspect of Hoshin planning. And we'll also review the eight steps to practical problem solving. Now then, as we've seen throughout this course, the concept of PDCA, or Plan Do Check Act, is used throughout the Hoshin process. Additionally, the ability for all team members to problem solve throughout the Hoshin planning process is critical. So, let's take some time to review this topic. Now, there are actually a few different ways to define a problem. The first way is to say that a problem is any deviation from the standard.
