Pros and cons of virtual project teams

- Being part of a virtual team can be pretty great. I mean, who can complain about working from home in your sweats, but there are some drawbacks as well, and leading virtual teams comes with its own set of challenges. Let's start with the benefits for your team members. The two biggest benefits are most team members are happier, and they're more productive. When we work remotely, we're usually in a more relaxed environment, whether we're at home a coffee shop, a park or wherever. Another benefit is the non existing commute. I love that my only morning traffic jam is trying to get past my dogs without spilling my coffee. Organizations also enjoyed benefits, like having less overhead and being able to have global experts on a team without all the travel and logistical hassles. Unfortunately, not everyone thrives in a remote environment. Sometimes it's a matter of not having a good space. The kitchen table isn't the best…
