- I'd like to finish with one more suggestion, and in fact it's a bit of a challenge really. Why not publicly declare that you want to be an inspirational leader? Why not put some pressure on yourself? And a good way to do this I think is to put my charter on the wall. So I've made a downloadable PDF that you can put on your wall which says I'm going to try and be a good boss. Now you don't have to use the word inspirational, just say I want to be a good boss, or I want to be the best boss I possibly can for you. And I think most people would happily settle for one of those wouldn't they? They're not going to say oh no, we don't want to good boss. So just say look, it's difficult to be a good boss, but I want to be a really good boss and I'm going to try and do the following things.
