- I have a phrase I share with my clients and that's "purge often and purge deeply." When I help my clients organize their office or workspace, inevitably there will be things that don't belong there. Your first step in organizing your workspace is the purge. You want to get rid of the things that don't belong in your space. And when you do, you'll see a huge difference and feel a massive weight lift. Here's how you do it. First, gather any leftover lunch containers and coffee cups. Throw them in the trash or recycling and wash them out if they're reusable. If you have a desk with drawers, check them also. You'd be surprised at how often trash accumulates in the places that are hidden away. When you're purging, really ask yourself, "Do I really need this? When was the last time I used it?" More often than not, you'll find that you don't need it. Next, it's inevitable when you're doing a purge that you'll find things that you borrowed from a coworker. Give them…
