- Team members who are new to your company might be riding the emotional rollercoaster of feeling great on some days or weeks, and ill-equipped to handle the onslaught of new people and information on others. There's already much to learn about team processes, terminology and interpersonal dynamics, in addition to any technical requirements for their role and early deliverables you've asked them to tackle. We all know how good it feels to tick boxes, or at least all of you who are a J on Myers-Briggs. Some of us just love making a list and checking things off. Apps emphasize gamification for this very reason: it's fun to hit milestones and collect badges for accomplishments, large and small.
