As we start accessing the standards for literacy in history, social studies, science, and technical subjects, it's important to keep in mind that they're broken into two main categories, reading as well as writing. Now the reading sections are specific to history and social studies, as well as science and technical subjects. So if I click on the history and social studies button, I'm only going to see the grade specific reading objectives. For example, here in the history/social studies objectives, I can see that these are the common core state standards.English Language Arts Literacy.Reading of History, that's what the RH stands for. Furthermore, I can see that this is grade band six through eight and then the final number tells me the standard number. Now you'll notice that there are no writing objectives anywhere on this page.
