- Have you ever been extremely busy all day, but left work further behind than when you arrived? Often, you are pulled in different directions, and it's so easy for urgent tasks to prevent you from achieving your priorities. You can't manage time, but you can manage what you do with your time, and odds are that you're achieving 80% of your results from 20% of your efforts. An important question you must answer is, what is my 20%? What are the actions that you take that provide the best results? If you're not sure of the answer, conduct a time study for the next 21 days. Just write down everything you do and track how many times you complete each task. And then at the end of 21 days, number the items that you've listed. Number one describes the best use of your time, which is part of your 20% leading to 80% of your results.
