- At the core of my leadership philosophy is the concept that leadership is a relationship. I developed this from my own experiences as a manager and recognizing that when I managed the relationship between me and my team, I was more effective in executing the goals of the team and the organization. As I worked on my PhD research, I found that the relationship between employees and their supervisors was the critical factor in successful coordination. And my experience as a consultant reinforced my theory that when people focus on the relationships, many other aspects of leadership fall in line.
