Reputation is like a snowball

Reputation is like a snowball

(gentle music) - I think reputations are like snowballs, and the reason why I describe that analogy is that snowballs, if you think about ones that start at the very top of a mountain, they build, and they become very big and some turn into avalanches, and reputations have the opportunity to build, sometimes, very, very quickly over time, and they can also be shattered very quickly, and so, as you think about reputation, I think it's always on my mind on how I'm showing up and how that's impacting my reputation because they can be built in a really positive way and, as I said, be shattered very quickly. Also, it can take some time to build things and understand what your reputation and how you want to be known in the market, and that's okay, too, but being conscious that your actions and your decisions and how you treat people and how you operate with integrity, those are things that all get put together in terms of how the making of that snowball is as it rolls down the mountain.
