(bright music) - You don't give out a friend's phone number to just anyone. (swoosh) (bell dings) - Hey everyone, Pat's phone number is 555-3948. - And nor should you share someone's email address without their consent, which is essentially what you do when you send an email to a lot of people by putting their email addresses in the to or CC fields. - But how do I send an email to a bunch of different people at once? - That's what BCC is for. BCC or blind carbon copy is a great way for you to send your message to many people without exposing your recipient's email addresses to everyone else on the email, which can be a privacy risk. It also prevents people from replying to everyone who received the email by using that reply to all command. Because as we know, that often results in really annoying reply loops that can go on and on, or even worse, it can open you up to being sent spam by anyone who has access to the email…
