(upbeat music) - Rest assured not understanding and being sensitive to gender differences, it can cost you the sale. A few years ago, my husband generously offered to buy me a set of golf clubs for Christmas. I was thrilled. Now in our family you need to understand I am the golfer. I'm the one who's been playing since I was the kid and I am the one who is passionate about the sport. So while I was thrilled that my husband was going to buy me a set of clubs and there was no way I was going to let him pick them out for me. I wanted to do that myself. So when we entered the store to pick out the clubs we were immediately greeted by a gentleman running the front desk. Now he pretty much ignored me and went right up to my husband, assuming that he was the golfer and he was the one there to buy the clubs.
