- [Instructor] Throughout this course, we've occasionally gone into Preferences because something needed to be said there in order for me to show you what I needed to show you for that video. But I encourage you to go to Preferences, go through everything, and get QuickBooks all set up the way that your company operates. I'll select Edit from the top menu and choose Preferences. There are two types of Preferences that you can set. You'll remember all this time when we've gone into Preferences, we immediately switch to the Company Preferences tab. QuickBooks gives you two different types of Preferences. There's something called My Preferences, in which any changes you make in this tab will only affect your user account and they'll only account for when you've logged in as yourself.
