Setting emotional boundaries

- As you've learned, logistical and physical boundaries are crucial when structuring your workday. But those boundaries don't mean much if you don't buy in to them emotionally, or if you feel so guilty enacting those boundaries that you stop doing so. And logistical and physical boundaries don't help if family communication is frayed, or if there's a dynamic getting in the way of you enacting those boundaries. Let's think of emotional boundaries as the foundation that you need to put in place in order to enact the physical and logistical boundaries that you've worked on. Let's start with identifying your personal vulnerabilities. Are gender roles a factor in your household, where maybe you leave the computer when you're interrupted because you're mom, but Dad gets to keep working?
