Setting goals
- As we've just discussed in the last chapter, setting a plan is a massive contributor to motivation and removing stress leading to burnout or sales anxiety. However, what is a plan without goals? How can we even make a plan without clearly defining what our goals are? Now we all have clear goals as salespeople. Sell as much as we can, hit all of our targets and get rich, which would all be nice, but to remain motivated over the long-term and achieve as much as we can, we need to break those overall goals down into long, medium and short-term goals. Long can be anything from one to three years. Medium is anything from three months to a year. And then short-term is anything less than a few months right down to your daily goals. So breaking these large goals down into smaller goals helps us keep motivated for a few reasons. Firstly, if we're achieving even short-term goals, we're achieving. We're getting the endorphin rush…
