- Should I settle for a job that is quite easy, quite well paid, I'm learning a bit, It's not too bad should I settle? Well, the first thing I would say is don't forget what's called the sunk cost fallacy. The idea with this is that we quite often look at all the investment we've made in something up till now and that makes us very reluctant to change our mind. So in money terms, if you spent lots and lots of money working on something and you only did little bit more money to finish it, even if finishing it's going to be almost pointless, you probably will spend that money but you shouldn't. What you should always do is think from here on is it good use of money. And similarly, when you spent lots of time on a relationship and it could be your work relationship, you start thinking, I've worked here for so long, but that's got nothing to do with it. The key is to think from now on is it going to be a net positive, and if…
