Situations that call for instructor-led training

- I don't care how good it is, you're never going to learn to sing by taking an online course. Mastering certain types of tasks demand the experience, know how, and immediate feedback of an instructor. Before I talk about the situations that call for it, let me define instructor-led training, or ILT. ILT is usually led by one or more instructors who train a group of individuals. This training takes place in real-time and in a space dedicated to training. When might ILT be appropriate? Let me give you two general guidelines. When you are teaching hands-on tasks, especially those that have a safety component. Hands-on tasks demand individualized and immediate feedback. For instance, let's say you need to teach an aspiring electrician how to wire an electric panel on a house, to learn how to do this they actually need to do it, so in a training space you set up a mock electrical wall, basically wiring that has no power to it, the aspiring electrician wires the electrical panel and as he…
